From Tuesday, October 1st to Friday, October 4th, 2024, the Warwick Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland, will host the ICES Foundation Biennial Workshop VII. This event will focus on addressing global challenges related to our planet’s health and future. One of the highlights of this year’s program is the inclusion of our group leader, Prof. Petra Ritter, as an honored Guest Speaker.
The ICES Foundation’s Biennial Workshop is a gathering that brings together experts from around the world to discuss how we can better understand and protect our planet. The event will cover four key topics: Planetary Health, Ocean Health, Human Well-Being, and Critical Technology. Prof. Ritter's Participation
On Thursday, October 3rd, Prof. Ritter will take part in the "Human Well-Being" session, where she will discuss her work on the “European Testing and Experimentation Facility for Health AI and Robotics”. This session will focus on the innovative ways AI and robotics are being integrated into healthcare, with an emphasis on personalized medicine.
Prof. Ritter will be speaking alongside Ms. Anne Demoisy and Prof. Liesbet Geris. Ms. Demoisy will address the ethics of digital twinning, while Prof. Geris will discuss the development of the Virtual Human Twin. Their combined expertise will provide a comprehensive view of the advancements and ethical considerations in the field.
