9th BigBrain Workshop
Berlin, Germany
Join us for the 9th BigBrain Workshop to explore the latest advancements in high-resolution brain mapping, AI-driven tools, and brain simulation. Hosted by the Brain Simulation Section, we are excited to welcome you to this engaging and insightful BigBrain gathering.
Together with the Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Lab (HIBALL) consortium, we are delighted to invite you to the 9th BigBrain Workshop, set to take place on October 28-29, 2025, in Berlin, Germany at the historic Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus.
This annual event brings together the BigBrain community, providing a unique platform for researchers, scientists, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas, share the latest advancements, and explore new possibilities in neuroscience and brain simulation.
This year’s event is particularly special as it also serves as the Closing Symposium of the HIBALL, marking the achievements of this transatlantic collaboration and exploring the future of brain science.
About HIBALL
Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Lab (HIBALL) is the funding umbrella for the BigBrain Project. It aims to transform the successful collaboration between McGill (MNI, BIC) and Forschungszentrum Jülich (INM, JSC) to the next level by reinforcing utilization and co-development of the latest AI and high-performance computing (HPC) technologies for building highly detailed 3D brain models. It establishes a close collaboration with CIFAR and MILA in Canada, and Helmholtz AI in Germany.
