Missed it the first time? Here's your second chance. Due to overwhelming demand, My Virtual Brain is back—step inside the dome and experience neuroscience like never before.
After an incredible response to our first screening, Einstein in the Dome: My Virtual Brain returns for a second round. This immersive event offers another chance to dive into the fascinating world of brain simulation—especially for those who missed out the first time.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 24, at the Zeiss-Großplanetarium, offering an evening of cutting-edge neuroscience and breathtaking 360° dome projections that bring the human brain to life.
About Einstein in the Dome
The Einstein in the Dome series, a collaborative initiative by the Einstein Foundation Berlin and the Planetarium Berlin Foundation, brings science to life in one of the city's most iconic immersive venues—the Zeiss-Großplanetarium. These captivating events combine cutting-edge scientific discourse with stunning visual experiences under the planetarium dome, inviting audiences to explore complex ideas through a unique blend of storytelling, live presentations, and immersive projections. By bridging the gap between research and the public, Einstein in the Dome fosters curiosity, celebrates scientific innovation, and underscores Berlin’s role as a hub for interdisciplinary dialogue and discovery.
Einstein in the Dome: My Virtual Brain
At “My Virtual Brain” event, Prof. Petra Ritter will explore the groundbreaking potential of personalized brain simulations—digital "avatars" created from real brain data. These avatars provide a unique way to model and study individual brain functions, enabling insights into both healthy and diseased states.
Through this innovative approach, digital brain models are proving invaluable in clinical settings, as well as in education and entertainment.
With a stunning 360° full-dome projection, audiences will experience cognitive processes and clinical interventions in real-time, immersing them in the next frontier of neuroscience and offering a vivid glimpse into how brain simulation technology may shape the future of medicine.
Please note: the event will be held in German.
Event Schedule
The event will be moderated by Dr. Jochen Müller, a well-known science communicator and neuroscientist with his work in science slams and his writing for Dasgehirn.info and Zeit Wissen.
