“Trustworthy Digital Brain Twins ” lecture to be given by Prof. Dr. Petra Ritter at the BCCN PhD Lecture Series this week
Berlin
Come meet our team! We would like to invite you to the next BCCN PhD Lecture Series on October 21 at 9:30 am in the BCCN Lecture Hall.
Our lab lead, Prof. Dr. Petra Ritter, will be giving a lecture on “Trustworthy Digital Brain Twins”.
The abstract is as follows:
Simulating the human brain through digital twin technology offers unprecedented opportunities for personalized medicine, clinical decision-making, and targeted neuro-interventions. In this talk, Prof. Petra Ritter will present her pioneering work in constructing personalized virtual brains that integrate multimodal patient data into high-fidelity, computational neuro-models.
Central to translating these complex digital twins into real-world clinical care is ensuring their reliability, safety, and governance. Prof. Ritter will highlight her leadership in major European initiatives, including eBRAINS-Health—which advances federated, privacy-compliant infrastructure for digital brain modeling—and TEF-Health (Testing and Experimentation Facility for Health AI and Robotics), designed to validate and certify trustworthy AI solutions in real healthcare settings.
The presentation will illustrate how combining advanced multi-scale brain simulation with robust European testing frameworks creates a viable pathway for safe, transparent, and ethically grounded digital health innovations.
We hope to see you there!
