Join us virtually for a peer to peer session about how to handle research data securely and effectively. Tomorrow, Petra Ritter will cover the topic of protecting complex personal health data that can not be anonymised, such as brain imaging. In the past, brain imaging data sets had the face of the subject removed to prevent identification, however, each brain is unique like a fingerprint, so removing the face is not sufficient to truly anonymise the data. Since the uniqueness of the data must be preserved, we now protect this data with other techniques. Please join us tomorrow for more info and discussion on this subject.
The peer to peer seminar series are organised by the BIH-QUEST Center, are in English, and free to register for. The format of the seminar begins with a colleagues own experiences with research data, followed by a guided discussion with the participants, where anyone may share their own experiences and ideas. If successful, the seminar series will continue monthly in 2021.
