The quest for multiscale brain modeling reaches a new milestone!

Our new TVB-multiscale co-simulation interface, developed in collaboration with Dura-Bernal Lab in New York, is highlighted in the EBRAINS online article: ”Co-simulation interface marks a new milestone for multiscale modelling”, published on 18 October 2022.

A proof-of-concept interface between TVB and the optimized NEURON simulator platform, NetPyNE, a tool for data-driven multiscale modeling of brain circuits, has been recently implemented. Now, this version is under further development for transforming it into a robust, user-friendly, scalable and efficient software that is portable across different cloud environments, such as the EBRAINS Research Infrastructure.

TVB-multiscale is already extended to support integration with two other spiking network simulators: NEST and ANNarchy, offering a generic way to interface between them and the TVB simulator.
