The Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5 x 5 km TEAM-Relay Course is one of Berlin's most anticipated sporting events, bringing together teams from across the city for a thrilling relay race. This year, the event took place from May 14th to 16th, perfectly timed to kick off a summer filled with sports excitement, including the upcoming Fan Mile of the 2024 European Football Championships.

The Brain Simulation Section was excited to participate in this exhilarating event with our team, the "Brainwave Blazers", comprising Marius Pille, Jan Stasinski, Christoph Hüttl, Luca Brandt, and Bülau Konstantin.

The Brain Simulation Section promotes team spirit for a positive working atmosphere and encourages wellness initiatives through physical activities like running, which is one of the most effective ways to improve (company) health. Running not only enhances endurance and fitness but also reduces anxiety, which is especially beneficial for students and post-graduates who often experience high levels of stress in academia.

    The Brainwave Blazers

Our team’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. Despite the stiff competition, the Brainwave Blazers secured an impressive 93rd place out of 1621 starting teams, completing the race with a remarkable time of 1:58:46. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of each team member.

    Congratulations!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Brainwave Blazers for their outstanding performance and thank them for representing our team with such distinction. Here’s to more races and more victories in the future!
