We are very grateful to have over 50 participants, and 27 successful final examinations for our course series “Digital Brain Twins in Clinical Research” last summer!
Every year we ask for feedback from the students so we know which topics they found most helpful, and which areas need improvement. Around 70% of the last cohort reported having zero previous experience or only slight knowledge in the topic, but by the end nearly all reported that they felt comfortable enough with the material to discuss with colleagues - including topics such as Digital Brain Twins, The Virtual Brain, personalized brain network modelling, how brain models can support clinical research, GDPR-complaint infrastructures, reproducible computational neuroscience, and more. We are delighted to hear from our students that they would 100% recommend this course to others, and 90% would give it the highest grade of “excellent” in terms of quality. Nearly all students found greater interest in these topics than before, with over 80% stating that they would apply this knowledge in their future work. While we are pleased to know students thoroughly enjoy our course, we still aim to improve every time we run “Digital Brain Twins in Clinical Research”, and are grateful for the feedback.
We are exceptionally pleased to reach students globally. Almost half the participants were from outside of Germany:
